Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Cash Management:

  • Handle cash, credit and payment transactions as per QRCS policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the office petty cash safe along with monthly reconciliation, Cash Register and Cash counts.
  • Responsible for the cash/bank books, update on a daily basis and assist the finance officer in match them with the financial system
  • Ensure all payment are with conformance with agreements, invoice and contracts.
  • Participate in the periodical cash count with the responsible committee

Archiving: 

  • Responsible for the financial archiving “hard copies”
  • Scan all the financial supporting documents on a running basis and responsible for the soft archiving

Other Tasks:

 

  • Work and coordinate closely with the logistic department and any other departments as needed.
  • Verify monthly payroll records that will comply both with the QRCS Financial procedure and the monthly tax requirements to the local government, facilitate HR in tax reporting to the local government.
  • Prepare month-end closing of the General Ledger/bank reconciliation/accruals/prepaid and post the data in QuickBooks
  • Support the finance team with the monthly closing procedures
  • Any other tasks requested from the line manager.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Education and Skills required:

  • The position requires a degree in Accounting/Finance or any related field.
  • At least 2 years’ finance experience with NGO/INGO.
  • Must be a good problem-solver, analytical, creative, innovative. Must be a team – builder and adaptable.
  • English, Arabic or Kurdish languages both written and spoken are required.
