Job Summary

The Logistics Officer is responsible in assisting with logistics operations (including Procurement, Warehousing, Fleet Management, IT) for all Sinjar programs. Performing all other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Area Coordinator for the benefit of Samaritan’s Purse with a generous and serving spirit.

 

 

Job Duties:

Logistics and Procurement

  • Support all program managers and base coordinator with their procurement needs and ensure the paperwork is processed in line with the SP procurement policies and procedures. This includes the purchasing of goods, seeking of quotes and development of bid justification forms.
  • Be the primary point of contact for vendors and service providers, supporting PMs in addressing maintenance issues with items procured by the program.
  • Conduct periodic checks on transactions to ensure organizational standards are upheld.

 

Fleet

  • Assist in vehicle allocation for the programs and coordinate with the Fleet Officer in Erbil to ensure that vehicle maintenance and repairs is done in the most cost effective manner.

Manage the daily rental vehicle tracker and ensure rental vehicles are available for program needs.

  • Work with Fleet Officer in Erbil to maintain vehicle logs and cost allocations
  • Responsible in checking periodically the vehicle to ensure that all onboard equipment are functional and accounted for.
  • Ensure that drivers maintain the required security protocol when using SP vehicles and check in with Erbil operations department starting and ending any trip.

Education / Experience Needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any related field
  • Must have at least one-(1) year of related experience and the training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  1. Minimum of one-(1) year working experience with an international organizations

 

 

LANGUAGE

Arabic, and English required (spoken and written)
