The Opportunity:
WES is seeking qualified Credential Analysts to produce academic evaluation reports that help international students and professionals achieve their educational and professional goals in the United States and Canada. A WES credential evaluation is a comparison of international academic accomplishments to U.S. and Canadian standards. As part of the Evaluation Production Department, the Credential Analyst will help produce evaluation reports that assist institutions such as schools, employers, licensing boards and immigration authorities better understand the applicant’s international educational background. Upon hiring, training will be provided and will be completed virtually.

This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be able to work from home and feel comfortable frequently engaging with colleagues by phone, video conference, email, chat and other digital communication tools. This position will work with a team largely based in the Eastern Standard Time zone and must be able to set their work hours accordingly. Company will issue computer equipment for use.

Key Responsibilities:
Verifying academic information entered by the applicant and ensuring that the information matches what is reflected in the corresponding documents.

Assessing the completeness of documentation received in support of an applicant’s educational study, generating correspondence regarding evaluation and updating applicant status.

Carefully proofing work and sending to the next phase of the evaluation process.

Learning and adapting to changes introduced and disseminated by the knowledge experts and policy group, Attending country- and process-specific training sessions.

Applying WES policies and procedures to produce accurate evaluation reports.

With a focus on time and quality, working with other Evaluation Production teams to resolve file-related questions from applicants and other evaluation-related issues.

Qualifications:
Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree

Foreign Language fluency (particular emphasis on being able to read and understand documents issued in the foreign language).

French

Arabic/Farsi

Vietnamese

Other European Languages – Cyrillic, Portuguese, Spanish

1-3 years’ experience in a relevant, computer-based, administrative/document-driven function

Distraction-free work setup; with reliable internet connection

Able to schedule work with team leader based in Eastern Standard Time

Computer, internet and database literate; particular focus on data entry and experience with Microsoft Suite of Office Tools (outlook, teams, word, excel, etc.)

Understand and adhere to information and data integrity and security protocols.

The ability to stay organized and follow WES’ SOPs (Standard operating procedures) for all assigned tasks. Have excellent time management skills and the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.

The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment. Have 1+ years of successful experience working as part of a remote team

Have a proven ability to excel in a high-volume production, deadline and process-driven environment. A tolerance for repetitive work.

Able to receive and apply constructive feedback in daily work; feedback is critical in this role and frequently provided

Be able to understand the ‘big picture’ and their role in the entire evaluation process and how their works directly impacts our applicant’s experience.
