Description

CLGT Solutions, LLC is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business focused upon providing professional solutions in the areas of training and talent acquisition. This position is not a current requirement; it is for a proposal. We are currently seeking Arabic/Kurdish, with a Sorani dialect, Linguists to provide interpretation, translation and transcription in support of operations in various locations worldwide. Most work will be performed Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) in harsh environments, with duty hours generally averaging 12 to 15 per day, 7 days per week.

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide translation, interpretation, and transcription services from target language(s) into English and from English into target language(s)

Provide translation from a variety of foreign language source exhibits, including video and audio cassette recorded conversations, facsimile documents and written and typed materials, such as legal documents, diaries, computerized files, personal papers, maps, charts, ledgers and notes

Provide written translations of audio/video-taped or real-time conversations: type verbatim, the words spoken on the source recording or during the conversation.

Education, Experience, & Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must have, at minimum, a Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information eligibility (TS/SCI)

Must be willing and able to go through a Counterintelligence interview

Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience

Must have high fluency in Target Language(s) and English, with minimum score of ILR 3 for reading, writing, speaking and listening comprehension, as well as in a Translating and Interpretation test between Target and English languages

Must have basic typing skills and be familiar with MS Office, including PowerPoint

Must have the ability to provide idiomatic translations of nontechnical material using correct syntax and expression from the foreign language to English and vice versa

Must have the ability to conduct consecutive, accurate interpretation of on-going conversations and/or activities

Must have the familiarity with, and ability to conduct, consecutive, accurate interpretation on on-going conversations and/or activities

Must have familiarity with and ability to conduct oneself per the local culture and customs

Must have the ability to deal inconspicuously with local populace

Must have the ability to function effectively and efficiently during extended periods of high pressure and stress as required by SOF

Previous SOF experience is desired

Must have the ability to function as an integral member of a team of highly trained professionals responsible for the safety and security of US forces, US and foreign dignitaries, and facilities/resources

Have the ability to operate a Government furnished light or medium mobility vehicle in support of operations; individuals shall possess a valid State issues Driver’s License; the Government will provide vehicle specific training on-site, as required

Work Environment

These positions will require the willingness and ability to live and work in hard environments, to include living and working in temporary facilities as mission dictates; this includes the ability to service in a combat zone.

Positions are generally OCONUS, but those that are based CONUS will require the willingness and ability to perform services in various locations throughout the US as well as short-term and long-term deployments OCONUS.

Physical Demands

This position may require frequent speaking and/or use of hands for typing.

This position will require the willingness and ability to be screened medically for deployment based upon the Geographic Combatant Commander’s directives, regulations and policies and JSOTF policies and procedures regarding medical requirements.

This position may require the willingness and ability to receive training in special skills which could include parachuting, rappelling, fast roping, and other insertion/extraction techniques.

Position Type & Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, with CONUS operations occurring 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, Monday through Friday; OCONUS operations occurring 12 to 15 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Travel

This position will require travel.
