This job answers internal/external calls for Security Operations, which average 2-3,000 transactions daily. Answers routine and emergency calls for security assistance while obtaining all necessary information required while dispatching security officers to calls for service as well as making notifications to on duty supervisors. Responds to all emergency situations, all types of Hospital/Clinic codes at any given time, monitors Hospital/Clinic video screens, maintains security log and all associated computer entries; handles all call and on-call for security and emergency preparedness for main campus and regional clinics as well as notifications for security incidents and emergency preparedness issues.
Education
Required – High School diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
Required – 1 year experience as a telephone operator, dispatcher or related experience
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information. Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals.

Must possess a good command of the English language, along with the ability to speak clearly and distinctly
Job Duties
Consistently answers calls using standard Ochsner greeting
Solicit and document information needed from callers to determine level of security assistance and then to dispatch officers to assist callers
Responds to all codes/notifications during emergency incidents
