What You Will Do as a …

Printer Operator

Operates high-speed production printers to prepare jobs for insertion and mailing according to specific client instructions. Prepares documents for inserting or mailing according to postal regulations and specific client instructions.

Starting Wage is $13.47 per hour (includes base wage of $12.25 +$1.22 p/h for 2nd and 3rd shift)

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains confidentiality of CDS and its clients’ proprietary information.
  • Operates and maintains production and quality standards on all printers, mail processing equipment and computers such as: printers, guillotine, in-line production equipment, burster, folder, burster/folder, form table, tabber and cutter.
  • Performs quality and reasonability checks on jobs.
  • Performs adjustment to stock and machines as needed.
  • Sets up equipment to run jobs.
  • Reports problems to supervisor for proper documentation and reporting.
  • Lifts and carries boxes of stock to machine.

The above duties may be performed anywhere from 0-100% of the workday. Employee needs to be able to work in designated department/area and participate, if applicable, in CDS Global’s ergonomic stretching/strengthening exercise program.

Education and/or Certification, Skills and Licensing:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Basic verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to find solutions for and report problems.

Ability to react to change and remain productive.
