The Office Assistant performs administrative and office support activities for the Manager and Supervisors. Maintains the office environment at a branch office by answering phones, filing, and performing special projects and other office-related work.
Shift & Schedule:
This is a full-time, direct hire position based at our branch in San Diego, CA. The schedule is Monday – Friday. Due to COVID-19 regulations, the current working hours would require this position to come in as early as 4am or 5am PST until 12pm PST to assist with administering health screens for employees upon entering the building. Should regulations be lifted, this position will return to a standard 7am to 3pm/4pm PST schedule.
Compensation:
The minimum pay rate for this position is $17.50/hour. Attractive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401K, etc.) is available immediately!
Position Responsibilities
Answering calls from customers.
Greeting, directing visitors.
Filing and Word processing.
Preparation of reports including spreadsheets and presentations.
Internet research.
Prepare and mail all US/UPS/Fed Ex packages.
Ordering supplies for branch.
Provide Administrative services for managers and committees.
Payroll preparation.
Perform data entry and scan documents.
Route audit and cashiering.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for managers.
Administer and maintain new hire paperwork.
Support HR functions.
Requirements:
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma preferred (GED)
2 years of general office administration experience highly preferred
1-2 years Microsoft Office (including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Professional oral and written communication skills
Bilingual Spanish, Aramaic, or Arabic language skills a plus
