- Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of relavent experience
- 2+ years of threat management, crisis management, security, or related experience
- 2+ years of experience in program or project management in multi-cultural environment
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Demonstrate working knowledge of project management tools
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite and programs to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, etc.,
- Proven abilities in medium-scale (global or regional) management of complex expansion projects, related to new geographies and/or business lines
The mission of Amazon Global Security Operations is to mitigate security and operational risks to our associates, physical assets, and brand. Critical Incident Operations (CIOPS) supports Amazon Worldwide Operations by providing 24/7 services including alarm monitoring and response, incident triage, and crisis management. Amazon is hiring an experienced Program Manger to support cross functional launches and expansion projects at Amazon’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) in Goodyear, Arizona.
CIOPS is seeking a candidate that possess a hybrid program/project management background, with experience in the security and crisis management field. The successful candidate has a passion for business growth, process and operational improvement, is customer obsessed, exhibits strong ownership, quickly earns stakeholder trust, and a disposition toward continuous learning.
In this role, the Program Manager will interface with and drive various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization. This includes regular communication with senior management on status, risks, change control, and proposing solutions to key stakeholders.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Execute multiple concurrent projects to meet business objectives in defined timeframes
- Work closely with upstream and downstream teams to ensure precision in process and service commitments to internal and external customers
- Prioritize projects with biggest impact on our business, propose and obtain approval from relevant functional leaders, and schedule resources
- Find practical and simple solutions to complex problems without sacrificing quality or core functionality
- Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed to include weekends, nights and holidays
- Fluency in another language other than English (French, Arabic, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Telugu, Hindi, Portuguese)
- Project management certification formal qualification in project management (such as PMP or PgMP)
- Law Enforcement or Military experience
