Supervisor Data Entry


IMECE is looking for a skilled Supervisor Data Entry to help us provide quality service to our beneficiaries. This position is a great opportunity for you to gain experience in the humanitarian sector and develop your skills. You will also be an important member of our team focusing on migrants who has been ill-treated to help them heal both psychological and physical.

You will be working in Nefes Center located in Fatih and also you will be helping our team members to gather and process data of the programme as well as identify training needs in order to provide a good service support and reliability of the data collected. In the context of the starting up and consolidation of a center for psychological support for migrants and in collaboration with the different professionals.

Your tasks as SUPERVISOR DATA ENTRY includes:

  • Supervise, organise and plan the data entry activity to have a reliable record of medical activity performed, as well as identify their training/technical support needs in order to provide a good service support and reliability of the data collected.
  • Ensure collation and entry of all data identified by project managers for collection (e.g. morbidity, mortality, surveillance of diseases of epidemics, nutrition, psychological and women’s health, etc) into the appropriate data management system while ensuring quality of data
  • Know and ensure proper use of software used for recording (i.e. Fuchia, Epi Info, etc.).
  • Ensure accuracy of the medical data entered into the mission’s database on a regular basis, according to NEFES protocols and carry out regular back-ups.
  • Provide technical support to managers/supervisors and clinicians in project sites and give response to their needs.
  • Provide regular statistical reports for the medical team as well as informing the superior of any missing information, major changes or big differences in data

Requirements  

We are looking for a dedicated person who has the professional approach and wants to help our beneficiaries gain a better life. We do expect our candidates to have the following requirements.

  • Degree in Information and Technology (IT), Statistics, Econometrics or Epimedilogy
  • Essential working experience of at least two years in similar area
  • High level Turkish and English, both written and verbal
  • Desirable knowledge on medical statistics data bases
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel and Internet)
  • Strong communication, organizational and social skills (attentive listening, open attitude, empathy, sensitivity)
  • Interest in helping vulnerable population
  • Strong mental mindset
  • Turkish citizenship

We offer

  • Full time position (Monday to Friday from 09:00-18:00)
  • Until end of 2021 contract (Renewable until end of 2022 depending on funding and mutual agreement)
  • Location: Istanbul
  • Starting date: Soon as possible
