Summary
The DevOps Engineer works with various departments and vendors to create and develop systems; meeting Korek enterprise and commercial requirements. From creating and implementing systems software to analyzing data to improve existing ones, the Engineer will contribute to increasing productivity in the workplace by balancing various aspects of application development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them.
- Establish milestones for necessary contributions from departments and develop processes to facilitate their collaboration.
- Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
- Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, manpower and time necessary
- Provide clear goals for all areas of a project and develop steps to oversee their timely execution
- Work closely with engineering professionals within the company to maintain hardware and software needed for projects to be completed efficiently and ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
- Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives
Competencies
- Experience developing, engineering and supporting applications for a large corporation.
- Demonstrated project development and leadership skills.
- Current understanding of best practices regarding system testing and delivery.
- Advanced education in business analysis techniques and strategies.
- Experience working together with teams from several departments/vendors to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan.
- Knowledge of programming languages.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to details.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
- knowledge of devOps and Agile principles.
