Contract period: 6 months with possibility of extension  

Salary grade:  L2

Number of Jobs: 1 (one) job

Probational period: 2 (two months)

Working hours: 8 hours per day from Sunday to Thursday

Responsibilities and Tasks: 

  • Design, supervise and monitor implementation of all the IEC (Information, Education, Communication) on COVID-19 prevention and NCD awareness activities
  •  Promote Yazda services, principles, protocols, and procedures in order to increase the awareness of the target population with health preventive activities and messages
  • Design a Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) strategy for future implementation and related activities through the definition of objectives, target population, campaigns, messages, activities, specific actions, etc.
  • Provide support in selecting and developing quality communication strategies towards the community planning information campaigns, including targets, objectives, methods, materials, and goals in order to increase awareness on NCD, COVID-19, and other health issues among the targeted population
  • Ensure regular collaboration and coordination with the project manager and MMU staff, reporting to the medical team any information linked to the health situation of the population
  • Know protection protocols and ensure its application. Report vulnerable cases and refer them to the protection focal point for case management according to protocols
  • Assist in patient care with the MMU nurse as needed
  • Participate in trainings
  • Be involved in any other activities the supervisor deems appropriate

 

Qualifications & Preferred Skills:

 

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or other paramedical studies.
  • At least 1-year experience with the Ninewa Department of Health
  • At least 2 years of previous experience with NGOs
  • English, Kurmanji, and Arabic
  • Strong motivation to serve the community
  • Team player and flexible
