Job Description:

As part of the British National Action Plan 1325, the project “Women’s Voices First – Women Leading the Way to Inclusive Peace in Iraq” The Project Officer will work to responsible for supporting and assisting with the implementation and delivery of project / program results,

The Project Officer works across all program areas, including collaborating with finance and IT to ensure effective and efficient grantmaking processes. The Grants Officer will also serve as the system administrator for the Program sub-grants management database.

 

Duties and responsibilities : 

Interventions projects progress: Monitors and assesses the progress of projects in relation to the formulated goals. Intervenes early when the actual results lag or reporting requirements are not fulfilled.

 

Timeliness and quality of reports: Clarifies which donors need to be informed about the results of the programs. Assesses the substantive quality of reports of partners and field offices and adjusts if necessary to the quality standards of donors. Submits report to the donors in time.

 

Planning, monitoring and evaluation: Assesses which information is relevant for planning, monitoring and evaluation purposes. Fills in the required PME format and assesses what extra PME information beside the standard formats is of importance. Analyses and draws conclusions from PME information and makes these accessible to stakeholders.

 

Develop training materials and standard operating procedures. Maintain electronic manuals and update program section of policy and procedures manual. Document system procedure changes and trains users on any updates.

 

Result communication and open data: Assesses which results are relevant for communication and fundraising purposes, collects these and formulates texts in accordance with quality standards of the Communications department and SIF. Collects and filters necessary information for open data sources. Delivers good qualitative information to the Communications department and SIF in time.

 

Monitoring of partners: Maintains contacts with partners and field offices focused on the effective and efficient implementation of programs. Makes agreements with partners regarding the achievement of substantive results, increasing their expertise, organizational sustainability, and accountability in accordance with the guidelines of donors.

 

 Capacity of partners with regard to accountability: Assesses the capacity of (new) partners with regard to accountability and compliance with reporting requirements of donors. If necessary, formulates capacity building proposals and acquires funding for these proposals. Initiates these activities in cooperation with partners.
