Summary:
The work schedule for this position is:

Duties

Incumbent is responsible for operating the Consulate’s Service Bay and performing cleaning and and basic preventive maintenance services for USG vehicles. Under supervision of Motorpool supervisor, the incumbent also operates motor vehicles to transport both passenger and cargo of the US Consulate and its affiliated agencies.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:  At least three years of work experience with maintenance and repair and one year of professional driving experience are required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:  Must have a good knowledge of mechanical principles of vehicles, and must have a good working knowledge of the city and its environs, including driving routes and traffic patterns. Must be familiar with the location of hospitals, police and fire stations within the city and its immediate surroundings.

Education Requirements:
    • Completion of Secondary School or Local Mandatory Schooling and received high school diploma
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: English (Limited knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking and Turkish (Good Working Knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking required. This may be tested.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES (This may be tested): Must hold a valid driver’s license for at least 5 years. Must have the ability to read maps and plan driving routes.  Must be able to perform basic vehicle checks and maintenance on the official vehicle. Must have basic computer skills to maintain reports and for communication purposes.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
