Safety Coordinator

Job Description

Environmental Holdings Group, LLC DBA Alloy, an environmental remediation and demolition company, has an immediate opening for a Field Safety Coordinator contract position. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, be self-motivated and promote a safe, accident-free work environment. Applicants must have strong knowledge of asbestos abatement regulations and have thorough understanding of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and company regulations.

Key Responsibilities are and not limited to:
The position often requires extensive vehicle travel and overnight stays (60-70%).

  • Review of documents that are necessary for safety requirements
  • Enforce policies, procedures and programs needed for construction safety
  • Investigate construction accidents
  • Prepare Job Hazard Analysis
  • Prepare and present reports to management on safety process and performance
  • Traveling to various job sites for inspections and job site compliance follow-up
  • Oversee and/or conduct training to field crews.

Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry (asbestos and/or lead hazard abatement experience preferred).

Must be able to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures essential.

Must have 30 Hour construction safety Course (OSHA 501), 40 hour HAZWOPER

Prefer applicant to have strong Spanish speaking and writing skills.

Must have good interpersonal and communication skills

Able to work well as a team player.

Problem solving/troubleshooting ability.

Requirements:
Spoken and Written Spanish and English Language Skills

Safety and Risk Management Experience

Knowledge of OSHA regulations

OSHA Training

Knowledge of reading plans and specs

Full Computer Literacy

Accident Prevention Techniques
