Organizational and project description
Promediation is a French NGO implementing mediation projects in a dozen of countries to support stabilization and conflict prevention. Promediation is present in Iraq in the district of Sinjar. Its Sinjar project has built trustful relationships with locals from all sides, through bilateral meetings and roundtables, gathering the main local actors, authorities and NGOs present on the area of intervention. Working in coordination with the Iraqi Federal Government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, Promediation supports a positive dynamic to support collective elaboration of tangible steps likely to improve living conditions in Sinjar District.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the accountant will:
- Verify invoices for the purchase of good and services for the program;
- Monitor financial transactions;
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation;
- Liaise with bank as and when required;
- Prepare financial reports.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Professional experience and additional competences
- At least 2 years of experience as an accountant;
- Fluent Arabic and/or Kurdish and good command of English required;
