Première Urgence Internationale is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political and non-religious international aid organisation. Our teams are committed to supporting civilian victims of marginalisation and exclusion, or hit by natural disasters, wars and economic collapses, by answering their fundamental needs. Our aim is to provide emergency relief to uprooted people in order to help them recover their dignity and regain self-sufficiency. Première Urgence Internationale relies on 30 years of field experience in 50 countries in crisis, as well as on the complementarity of its medical and non-medical expertise, to adapt its programs to each context and to the real needs of the most vulnerable populations. The association leads in average 180 projects by year in the following sectors of intervention: food security, health, nutrition, construction and rehabilitation of infrastructures, water, sanitation, hygiene and economic recovery. Première Urgence Internationale is providing assistance to around 4 million people in 21 countries – in Africa, Asia, Middle East, Eastern Europe, Caucasus and France.

Job description

Overall purpose |
|
Ensure a quality link between the PHCC and the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) as well as for Returnees, Host community in Sheikhan sub-district, by allowing a better communication. Capable of providing preventive, promotional and rehabilitation care to the IDPs, returnees and Host community.
|
|
Responsibilities and scope of duties |
|
· Information transmission to the community that leads to promotion of their health · Sensitization of the camp population about relevant health topics, including reproductive health and mental health · Monitoring of the sensitization campaigns
|
|
Specific goals and related activities |
|
Ensure information transmission towards the beneficiaries to help them being responsible of their own health · Ensure a good link between the population in the community and the PHCC team regarding the follow up of patients · Stay at disposal of the PHCC team to ensure visits to known patients in the community and to research people not showing at the PHCC as planned · Promote the health of the population in the Community through awareness sessions · Provide preventive and rehabilitation care when proposed by the medical team.

· Sensitize regularly on topics decided by the Project manager (PM), and Health officer (HO), in coordination with the PHCC medical team · Participate to health strategy actions for the community in collaboration with the medical team.

Ensure the monitoring of sensitization sessions
· Reports to the Health officer (HO), after each sensitization session made · Suggests improvements for future sessions |

Ensure a close working collaboration with the PHCC team
· Participate regularly to training sessions or information sessions conducted by the medical team in order to maintain up to date his knowledge, and to improve it. · Participate regularly to PHCC team meetings
