1. Role and responsibilities
Generic responsibilities
- Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
- Assist with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
- Ensure proper filing of documents
- Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function
Specific responsibilities
- To assist and monitor the implementation of education and youth activities under direction of the Education Officer at field level.
- Supervise education incentive staff and provide support to them in line with program objectives
- Ensure direct communication and feedback with beneficiaries and relevant host communities for better engagement.
- Organize, support and participate in Mother’s Group, parents teach association (PTA), teacher learning circle (TLC), Adolescent group (AG) for females, in addition of camp and community-level meetings as well as outreach activities.
- Participate in assessments (data collection and management) and prepare relevant reports.
- Organize and implement distributions of teaching and learning materials in addition of youth kits.
- Any other task relevant to the position as requested by line manager
2. Our Ideal candidate:
- Experience from working as an education and youth Project Assistant in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Some knowledge of English
- Solid computer skills, including MS Word, Outlook and Excel
- Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Ability to work diligently both independently and in a team setting

- Contract Duration: 4 months
- Duty Station: Mosul – Nenawa
- Health Insurance is provided
- Salary: G3/S1, According to NRC’s Iraq salary scale and terms and conditions.
