What PAH is about:

Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) is a non-governmental organization. For 25 years, we have been providing relief in emergencies worldwide. We also run missions in several countries in crisis. Our interventions – of both humanitarian and development character – have been carried out in 44 countries so far. We concentrate on ensuring sustainable and stable development of regions suffering the consequences of war and/or natural disasters. We possess long-standing expertise in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), but also implement projects in Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), as well as Nutrition and Education. PAH in Iraq:

We returned to Iraq at the end of 2016 to respond to the needs of the civilian population caused by the fighting in Mosul. In 2017 PAH reached in total 53 000 beneficiaries with emergency assistance in Mosul and Erbil Governorate. 

PAH’s current activities in Iraq include:

  • swift reaction to the humanitarian crisis in Iraq.
  • improvement of quality of all actions, assuring more adequate humanitarian response, following humanitarian standards and requirements of local communities.
  • response based on complementary programs and projects which are created in coordination with local authorities and local communities.
  • support of Iraqi employees in the improvement of personal potential and professional capacity.

 

 

Who PAH is looking for:

PAH in Iraq is looking for Guards who will undertake duties and responsibilities related to the PAH Sinjar office and Guesthouse.

 

. Patrol assigned area to ensure the security of PAH’s personnel, buildings and properties

  1. Watch for and immediately report irregularities and potential dangers, such as fire or water hazards or presence of unauthorized persons
  2. Inspect perimeter defenses such as gates, doors, fences, lighting and barbed wires to ensure they are intact and not tampered with. Immediately report irregularities.
  3. Reduce the impact of any attack carried out against the PAH compound through warning compound occupants, calling for assistance and assisting with evacuation or other reaction as required
  4. Attend the main gate at all times in order to deter unauthorized entry into the PAH compound and to open for entry and exit only for authorized persons or vehicles
  5. Check the reliable legal identity (ID) of all visitors and log their entry and exit in the Visitors Book. Ensure visitors meet the person whom they are visiting. Maintain a record of all staff and visitors within the compound at any given time.
  6. Receive and screen for risk deliveries of mail/packages and other items. All deliveries shall be logged.
  7. Ensure proper handover to the replacement guard.
  8. Report any security incident or rumors even outside of the working hours.
  9. Informing the field operation and security officer of the security situation in the field sites
  10. Ensure PAH vehicles remain secure;
  11. Perform any other work duties assigned by the Field Security and Logistics officer
