CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

Level 3:  the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

ROLE PURPOSE:

The HR intern support the HR team in updating staff data and files, Screen resumes and participate in low grade positions interviews, support other teams when needed and support the HR officer in daily tasks.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

 

Reports to: HR Officer.

Staff reporting to this post: None.

 

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :

  • Schedule job interviews with candidates in accordance with SC procedure
  • Support the documentation of HR related forms.
  • Maintain an accurate, updated and well organized, confidential HR filing system
  • Support the tracking of employee time-sheets and review leave/vacation balances
  • Support HR Office in maintaining tracking sheets for all service and consultancy contracts and advise the Field Office Manager of contracts expiring within one month.

Collaboration and Representation

  • Work closely with programs, procurement and finance teams

  • College graduate.
  • Fresh graduate or a junior level experience
  • Ability to work simultaneously with multiple tasks, willingness and ability to work efficiently with a wide diverse group of people
  • Understanding of written and spoken English is preferred
  • Computer literate ( word, excel, power point)
  • Commitment to Save the Children’s vision and mission and to improving the lives of children in Iraq.
