WIC WIC Customer Service Representative (CSR)
QUALIFICATIONS
The WIC Customer Service Representative (CSR) will work closely with the WIC Nutritionists, Registered Dietitian and WIC Program Coordinator to provide nutrition services to woman, infant and children. A High school diploma required, but a college education preferred. Must be efficient at the following computer programs: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. One (1) year of WIC Experience required. Arabic and/or Chaldean Fluency an asset, however, not a requirement
Duties
DUTIES
WIC Customer Service Representative (CSR) will complete income eligibility of WIC clients.
Certify and recertify WIC participants in accordance to the criteria set by the State of Michigan WIC program.
Responsible for filing of charts and WIC documents into client files.
Answer phone calls and schedule WIC appointments within the WIC Policy Guidelines.
Maintain up-to-date client records, process returned appointment postcards according to policy.
Promote breastfeeding with clients.
May perform anthropometric measurements and hemoglobin testing.
Complete individual nutrition education with clients at necessary appointments.
Make appropriate client referrals to ancillary health care providers and social services.
Complete monthly reports on WIC activities in a timely matter.
Participate in staff trainings, conferences and staff meetings as the need arises.
Work as a team, helping other staff in the WIC program in times of shortage of staff.
Participate in outreach opportunities in the community.
Provide customers with a high level of customer service.
