Coalition for Just Reparations (C4JR) is an alliance of 32 Iraqi NGOs calling for comprehensive reparations for civilian victims of atrocity crimes perpetrated during the ISIS conflict in Iraq. C4JR uses Iraqi law and international human rights law to support reparation claims of survivors and encourage Iraqi authorities to meet their obligation to provide reparations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Organizes and conducts weekly Zoom meetings of the C4JR Coordinating Committee (CC)
- Informs all C4JR members of the main points discussed and conclusions reached C4JR CC meetings and make available Zoom recording of that meeting
- Liaise with key stakeholders (C4JR secretariat, C4JR Coordinating Committee, C4JR Survivors´ Council, member organizations, international partners and relevant national instances in Iraq) to ensure that C4JR project is coordinated;
- Stays abreast of major developments in C4JR member organizations, identifies cross-cutting themes and reports to the Head of C4JR Secretariat;
- Supports the Head of C4JR Secretariat with prioritizing and deciding on specific issues that should be addressed within the C4JR framework;
- Supports C4JR CC and Secretariat in making strategic decisions in the domain of C4JR´s work;
- Supports the Head of C4JR Secretariat in suggesting, shortlisting and adopting staff capacity building plan for the next year;
- Establish and maintain regular contacts and effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders, governmental authorities, civil society organizations, regional institutions, and international agencies;
- Prepares policy papers, mailings and background talks on issues related to reparations and other TJ aspects;
- Organize consultations, briefings, meetings, and other events (virtual or in-person);
- Participates in reporting to the donors;
- Carries out other related tasks;

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
REQUIREMENTS
- Fluent in Arabic, Kurdish and an excellent command of the English language;
- Completed bachelor’s degree or higher, law degree is desirable (but not required)
- Basic knowledge of civil society organizations in Iraq, international human rights law and institutions;
- Experience in working with national and international organizations;
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and deliver reports within a tight timeframe;
- Active interest in promoting human rights and social justice; awareness of current events both nationally and internationally;
