Communication and Social Media Intern

[Erbil,Iraq ]

Background:

Under the supervision of the Communications officer; the Communication and Social Media Intern will be expected to provide support to the communication functions and activities for KOHRW.

Assist the Communication Team in the following:

• Support in the preparation and generation of Social Media content for KOHRW social media platforms; including (photos, videos, etc..)
• Support the social media coverage of KOHRW’s events and conferences.
• Assist in the logistical and communication preparations of key events and activities in coordination with the various teams.
• Provide support in producing videos and infographics capturing key messages of KOHRW’s work.
• Assist in planning and implementing new campaigning opportunities that promote KOHRW’s mandate and key development solutions.
• Assist in writing success stories and feature articles related to the various projects and activities/events.
• Assist any other duties as may be deemed necessary.

Qualifications:

• University degree in the field of communications, public relations, business administration or related fields.
• Knowledge in running social media campaigns and engagement on Facebook, Twitter, Website, etc.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Tech savvy with a passion for mobile technologies, innovation, and emerging categories
• Ability to write for social media clearly and concisely.
• Uses Microsoft Office.
• Written and spoken English.
• Graphic designing and video editing skills are an asset.
• Newly graduates are preferred.

 

Additional Information:

• KOHRW will be covering for your transportations and communications on a monthly basis.
