Background:
SWEDO is a Swedish non-profit, non-political, non-religious development aid organization that was founded in 1991 in Stockholm, Sweden. Having continuously operated in the Kurdistan Region ever since, SWEDO’s main priorities of work are construction and infrastructure activities, refugee and IDP initiatives, health, water, sanitation and hygiene, and capacity building.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The PSN Officer will plan, coordinate and implement all programs geared towards the wellbeing of PSNs
- The PSN Officer will manage the PSN unit and coordinate with other outreach and CwC departments.
- The PSN Officer will organize and supervise all activities planned for the PSN and ensure efficient and effective access to services in consideration to the set standard operating procedures.
- Responsible for identification of needs of PSN through conducting social assessments.
- Ensure that PSNs access services at the program and available public services.
- PSN Officer will be responsible for the distribution of assistive devices and other basic necessities to PSNs.
- Organize community outreaches and conduct awareness to support PSNs.
- Network and collaborate with the key stakeholders to address the issues of PSNs.
- Refer PSNs for appropriate services available.
- Organize and conduct protection activities for PSNs including the participation of PSNs in social events.
- Provide information and guidance to PSNs (individuals and in group) to enhance their protection.
- Provide support to the groups of PSNs to strengthen their coping in the urban.
- Compile timely weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and specific activity reports and work plans
- Actively participate in meetings, information dissemination sessions, special events and any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Supervisors.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor Degree in Humanities and International Relations or any related field;
- At least three years’ experience in a similar position or field, should be able to report to UN agencies;
- Fluency in Kurdish, English and Arabic languages;
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds;
- Ability to handle confidential matters, meet deadlines and work under pressure;
- Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, and drive for results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Fluent English, in addition to organizational skill.
