SENIOR CONTRACT ENGINEER

At Eni, we are looking for a Senior Contract Engineer within Eni Iraq in Basra, Iraq. You will be responsible for processing requisitions for materials and services to meet cost, quantity and quality requirements all in accordance with eni Iraq B.V.’s Project Procurement Policies & Procedures.

As a member of Eni Iraq you will be responsible for:

• Contributing to the vendor qualification system through research and evaluation of commodity areas and making recommendations for additions to Qualified Vendors List, based on sound commercial, financial, technical and quality-assurance principles as well as providing a necessary feed-back on responsiveness and performance of the tenderers/contractors;
• Prepare contractual and commercial sections of the tender package and compile the full tender package.
• Developing and analysing contracts documentation including review and contribution to contractual scope of work
• Ensuring that contractual terms and conditions are defined in accordance with Zubair Project requirements.
• Writing contracts requirements in conformance with all applicable laws and in compliance with eni Iraq B.V.’s procurement policies & procedures.
• Developing, compiling, conducting pre-enquiries and market surveys
• Preparing un-priced and priced evaluation models of high complexity and major contracts
• Performing contractual and commercial evaluations and required negotiations of tenders received and formulate recommendations.
• Elaborating and proposing contracting solutions and pursuing alternative methods of improving contracting practices i.e. risk/reward, incentives, alliances etc.
• If requested by the contingent workload, manage the contracts and procurement necessary to award Contracts for Goods and services of low value and low complexity
• Contributing to Contract award recommendation drafting and developing commercial evaluation reports

This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:

• Contracts experience in the up-stream process and oil & gas projects with experience working as a supervisor with a major oil company
• Experience on major and/or high complexity contracts
• Supervision skills.
• Knowledgeable and familiar with international contractual format.
• Knowledge of Commodity markets and price trends, various grades, qualities, and varieties of materials, supplies, and equipment.
• High negotiation skills and ability to understand what is negotiable in line with Company targets
