About the job
The GBV case worker in Qairawan should works in our center and provides appropriate and timely case management by assessing the needs of survivors / those at risk of GBV, supporting the survivor with basic psychosocial activities, and developing and implementing tailored case plans based on needs and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
Reporting Structure
For day to day, operational management requirements the GBV case worker reports directly to the AAF Center Facilitator or any other designated person appointed/instructed by the AAF Management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct case management intake interviews with survivors / those at risk of GBV identified by the team during outreach work or referred by other agencies and open a case if vulnerability criteria are met.
- Carry out comprehensive assessments for each case after receiving their consent and consider emotional, behavioral and social factors that affect their psychosocial well-being as well as protection and risk factors.
- Develop a case plan with the survivor, based on needs identified during the assessment.
- Ensure the proper and safe filing and archiving of case management files to maintain data confidentiality.
- Contribute to the maintenance of an up-to-date service mapping of the service providers operating in the area and take proactive steps to remain informed about the available services.
- Refer the survivor to appropriate services internally to our AAF services at the same area, or externally to other NGOs in the area.
- Plan, and implement psychosocial activities and session in the center.
- Responsible of follow up the intern beneficiaries in their activities and support in develop a plan for them.
- Answer the GBV hotline and properly provide crisis counseling, information/referrals, and shelter screening.
- Ensure full responsibility & accountability –for maintaining, drafting and updating reports which include case management reports.
- Completes any other tasks delegated by supervisor

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

- University Degree in a related field (Social Work, Psychology, etc).
- At least one year of experience working in a relevant field with NGOs.
- Strong knowledge of psycho-social activities and case management in the humanitarian context.
- Clear understanding of gender, abuse of power and issues surrounding violence against women.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, ethics and respect for the clients all the time
- The candidate should base in Qairawan.
- Ability to effectively use computer software including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Good in spoken and written English, and Arabic is a must.
- Able to priorities clearly, oversee multiple tasks, set clear objectives.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Act as a reliable and supportive team member.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
