Position: Health Program Officer

Location: Gaziantep ,Turkey

Length of Contract: 6 Months

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Follow-up Project planning and management of implementation sector projects.

· Identify gaps in the management of projects and supporting the field team in addressing these gaps.

· Prepare field reports for projects and assisting in editing.

· Provide close support to Project Coordinator(s)/manager(s).

· Provide support to the project includes guidance on project start-up, compliance reporting, and documentation requirements, and grant life cycle management.

· Provide close coordination between the main office in Turkey and support offices.

· Attend cluster coordination meetings, when assigned to, to ensure adequate reporting to the team on outcomes, and convey recommendations and improvement areas and mechanisms to.

· Take part in setting the organizational strategy, goals, and objectives;

· Develop the capacity of their staff, through internal training, workshops;

· Develop the manual for project staff in order to maintain efficiency;

· Support the finance department by coordinating project budget’s as assigned by the line manager and coordinating with other departments within the organization, where needed.

· Conduct the field Staff to make sure all program activities are on time, being managed well, and to assess any issues or challenges.

· Assist in proposal’s writing.

· Any other duties assigned by the line manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

· Either a Bachelors of Medicine or any relative degree( doctor, pharmacist,….); an Advanced Degree is desired.

· At least 2 years of professional experience in project management in the humanitarian field;

· Good knowledge in programs life cycles.

· Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding work-related information and data.

· Good interpersonal and intercultural skills.

· Good communication and reporting skills.

· Good at programming Microsoft Word and Excel.

Good command of spoken and written English
