Mercy Hands for Humanitarian Aid (MH) is a leading Iraqi NGO, founded in 2004 with the goal of saving lives and preserving human dignity. Mercy Hands is headquartered in Baghdad, and several Satellite Offices across Iraq, and one Regional Office in Erbil. The project has a new additional activity, called Support to Electric and Mobile Maintenance Workshops for youth in Shirgat. Mercy Hands will provide minimally 50 selected electric and mobile maintenance workshops in Shirqat with business skills training and assets replacements/toolkits to grow and/or restore their business operations and the provision of their maintenance services. The selected workshops are specialized in mobile maintenance, wiring and microelectronics maintenance, electrical maintenance, digital communication, electrical machines, generators, hydraulics, lighting systems, pneumatics, transformers and/or more.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, registrations and data entry in the assigned districts of Shirqat, Salah Al-Din governorate.
- Interview the identified participants of the project within the project area to ensure the data and info that have been recorded within registered forms.
- Document all the findings in the provided data collection tools.
- Compiling and sorting the filled data collection tools as directed by the supervisor.
- Ensure collected data is accurately recorded.
- Capture data using digital data entry technology provided.
- Ensure anonymity of respondents and develop relationship of trust and safe space during data collection exercise with respondents.
- Identify and report any challenges faced that could affect the quality of the data.
- Take responsibility for project equipment that you may be entrusted with.
- Report daily issues and challenges to the Electrical and Communication engineer.
- Any other duties assigned by the Electrical and Communication engineer and the Project Manager.
Languages required
- Fluency in spoken and written Arabic is required.
- English language proficiency is preferred but not required.

Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of relevant professional experience of working with (NGOs) Non-Governmental Organizations preferably in livelihoods.
- Strong contextual understanding of work area and livelihoods programming.
