Field Coordinator

[Kirkuk,Erbil,Nineveh,Baghdad,Iraq ]

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Field Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all field level activities as well as supporting the MEAL officer and the Social Cohesion, Livelihoods and Training and Capacity Building Specialists. There are four positions available, one in each of the following locations: ​​Anbar (Qaim), Anbar (Habaniyah), Salah al Din (Tooz Khormato), Ninewa (Muhalabiyah).

Responsibilities will include:

• Liaising with authorities in the area to ensure the smooth running of the project and securing the required permits.
• Supporting the implementation of cash for work, business training/grants and vocational training activities that will target a total of 650 participants (with a 50:50 gender split).
• In coordination with the MEAL Officer, conducting assessments and other data collections in the field.
• Travelling daily to project sites and ensuring that activities are proceeding as planned.
• Ensuring that all issues identified during activity implementation are resolved in a timely manner and communicating these to project management and MEAL team.
• In coordination with the Livelihoods Specialists, visit and develop a rapport with local businesses able to offer internships/employment to successful participants to the livelihoods training.
• Overseeing Field Assistants and building their capacity where required.
• Supporting the MEAL Officer in monitoring and reporting activities as required.
• In coordination with Field Assistants and MEAL staff, operate a drop in rota to verify participants’ attendance to the implementation activities.

• University educated in a relevant field, preferably in business administration, economics, finance, development studies or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in providing field monitoring and follow up support in livelihoods and employment creation-related areas, preferably in business support and cash for work programmes.
• Familiarity with data collection methods and tools, including KOBO.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic. 
• Right to live and work in Iraq.
• Willing to start work immediately.
