Broadcast Designer, Creative Services
The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a MBN is looking for experienced, dynamic Broadcast Designer for our Creative Services Team at the Headquarters office in Springfield, VA. MBN is a non-profit, multimedia broadcaster that provides news and information to audiences in the Middle East and North Africa through television, radio and digital properties in support of US diplomacy.
The Broadcast Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, creating, coordinating and executing production of promos, image ID and campaigns as assigned in accordance with the strategic planning of the Promotion Department. .
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Broadcast Designer include, but are not limited to:

• Providing MBN TV channels, its news, shows and programming with on-air graphics solutions.

• Designing dynamic and information based graphics templates and illustrations.

• Maintaining the graphic identity of MBN.

• Creating graphics for breaking news and our live news programs.

• Creating graphic packages & requests for Current Affairs and Promotions.

• Working with the Broadcast Supervisor conceptualizing/brainstorming on project/deliverables based on the Creative Brief or assignment/task.

• Sketching ideas to review with department management.

• Staying up-to-date on national and international news, entertainment and current affairs.

• Taking part in formalized presentations.

• Supporting and communicate your design choices clearly to colleagues and project owners.

• Identifying and learn new technologies/design techniques and take lead role in sharing knowledge.

• Keeping up to date on latest developments in the field and be involved with design organizations.

• Researching stock photography, illustration, sound or video-clips as needed.

• Conceptualizing, designing, developing and animating projects ranging from show opens show packages, promos to news graphics.

Candidates are required to have:

• Degree in Fine Arts, motion graphics, design, multimedia, or equivalent education or experience.
• Ability to communicate verbally and written in Modern Standard Arabic
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Package.
• Demonstrated knowledge in real time graphics systems like Pixel Power or VizRT.
• Demonstrated knowledge of 3D Max, Cinema 4D or Maya is a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge of editing platforms AVID, Premiere, FCP a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure and be able to provide quick-turnaround.
• A good eye for motion, form, color, and will be familiar with both MAC and PC.
• Ability to multi-task and excellent time management skills.
• Excellent people skills and be a team player.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
