Position: Content Manager / Editor

Location: Gaziantep, Turkey

Length of Contract: 6 Months

Responsibilities:

1. In close coordination with the Regional Media and Communications Officer and the Media and Communications Division in Headquarters, draft segments of public information materials, press briefing notes, website, and social media content, and newsletters in clear and concise English and Arabic.
2. Draft portions of press notes, human-interest stories, and other “AL- AMEEN” related communications materials for approval and subsequent dissemination to an international audience.
3. Provide logistical and administrative support for the organization and implementation of press conferences and public engagements of “AL-AMEEN”.
4. Compile photographs, video clips, and other news stories and images, checking if informed consent was obtained including through digital informed consent forms.
5. Provide logistical and administrative support for the implementation of global initiatives such as designated UN international days.
6. Track web analytics to ascertain content engagement levels.
7. Apply all relevant “AL-AMEEN” data protection guidelines and procedures.
8. Apply appropriate gender awareness in all inputs drafted.
9. Archiving media materials and final projects for final reports and all assigned tasks.
10. Brainstorm with team members to develop new ideas.
11. Provide editorial, creative, and technical support to team members.
12. Manage content across all platforms, including email and social media.
13. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in communication, graphic design, or related discipline.

• Two years’ experience in the humanitarian sector related to communication including producing written and visual content, and publication designing (preferably NGO sector).

• English language is essential.

• Proficiency in MS Office Programs.
