Invitation to Bid-Financial Audit of 2021 – GoI and KRG Annual Financial reports

Presentation of the organization and of the project:

Terre des hommes (Tdh), a humanitarian aid organization, is operative in 34 countries with a range of healthcare and child protection programs, both in development and emergency contexts. Tdh has been present in Iraq since 2014, first conducting emergency non-food items distribution to displaced persons in Dohuk district. Now, four years later, Tdh is present in 11 districts across four governorates and implement emergency and post-emergency programs. Since 1996, Tdh has been working on juvenile justice in numerous countries across the globe. In 2016, Tdh’s juvenile justice activities in twenty countries trained 15,000 professionals in juvenile justice and supported 21,000 children in conflict with the law. Tdh has engaged a pilot juvenile justice project in Iraq that aims at providing children in contact with the law with psychological counseling, legal support, education, and distribution of basic products/goods in 4 (juvenile) detention centers and support 2 home estates that welcome children in contact with the law in the governorates of Kirkuk, Salah Al Din, Ninewah and Baghdad.

 

Objectives and scope of the audit:

Terre des homes Lausanne – Tdh – Iraq country office prepares its yearly financial statements in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and the local accounting rules – under Iraqi laws – for the financial fiscal year ended as of 31/12/2021 for its Erbil and Bagdad bases.

Standard for admission:

Interested entities (individuals, academics) should note that only those who meet the criteria indicated below will be considered:

 

1. a) Bachelor’s degree in pre-law or similar field, master’s degree in law-related field may also be beneficial
2. b) 3+ years of experience practicing law and 2-6 years of experience in specific legal consultation field
3. c) Excellent communication, writing, organizational, extensive legal knowledge in specialty area

 

Applications for both KRI and Iraq will be preferred.

 

Interested applicants are required to submit:

 

• Membership Number of Iraqi Association of Certified Accountants (If applying for Baghdad)
• Membership Number of KRI Association of Certified Accountants (If applying for Erbil)
• A financial bid for the completion of services mentioned in the ToR (signed and stamped)
• CV of the Auditor
