Background:
SWEDO is a Swedish non-profit, non-political, non-religious development aid organization that was founded in 1991 in Stockholm, Sweden. Having continuously operated in the Kurdistan Region ever since, SWEDO’s main priorities of work are construction and infrastructure activities, refugee and IDP initiatives, health, water, sanitation and hygiene, and capacity building.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verifying the monthly supporting documents, and ensure that documentation is complete and accurate and signature are valid according to authorization matrix;
- Completing the donor financial report and submit to the Finance Manager;
- Maintain and update a list of all project and their financial status, monitoring payment to contractor on completion percentage determined within agreement between SWEDO and contactor, follow up with procurement department and other field worker to ensure percentage of completion;
- Develop capacity for the accountants in the sub offices through on job training and solve any issue related them;
- Follow up on the sub offices liquidity needs;
- Assist in the annual audit process with external auditors;
- Entering daily transaction into Odoo system (or similar system);
- Train the staff to work on Odoo system (or similar system);
- Reporting periodic records and reconcile the totals with bank statements, financial, reports, cash counts, etc., and make needed correction to transactions;
- Meeting deadlines set by the Finance Manager.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Bachelor Degree in Accountancy or Finance;
- At least three years’ experience in the same position or field, INGO experience is highly recommended;
- Fluency in English, Arabic and Kurdish Languages;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook email and accountancy software;
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills;
- Possesses strong cross-cultural communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Able to work in a team and as individual;
- Good management, administrative and communication skills;
- Must be organized, able to multi-task, flexible, and able to work as a team and individual;
- Be very flexible regarding time, tasks and responsibilities
