THE BRITISH EMBASSY SCHOOL ANKARA, TURKEY
Required from April 2022
BESA is currently seeking an outstanding whole school English Teacher to join our
team from April 2022. This position is a full-time role and is initially contracted until
the end of August 2024.
The successful applicant will:
• Be a fully qualified teacher with at least 2 years of experience working in the
UK or in a British medium International School (Please note – this is not a
Language/ESL teaching position)
• Be an experienced English teacher with experience teaching across the
Secondary age ranges.
• Be experienced in delivery of the English National Curriculum (Experience of
IPC / IMYC is desirable)
• Have excellent planning, organisation and communication skills
• Be able to lead non-specialist colleagues and work as part of a team
• Be confident in the use of ICT & Technology to enhance children’s language
learning
• Be committed to regular and on-going professional development
• Be a fluent English speaker
