- Assume leadership for counseling & creating a safe environment for staff & villagers

- Assist with supervising credit villagers during interim weekend (residential program only)

TWO-WEEK CURRICULUM FACILITATOR:
- Implement educational curriculum of two-week program (including activities)
- Teach &/or organize large-group language instruction periods daily
- Organize small-group language instruction periods & villager placement process
- Lead daily meetings for learning-group staff & provide coaching/peer coaching
- Prepare & supervise completion of villager progress reports
- Collaborate with credit facilitator to ensure integrated program
- Substitute as needed for counselors in small language groups & activities
- Submit final report to dean
- Organize & manage resource materials
Compensation
starting at $410 per one-week period
CREDIT CURRICULUM FACILITATOR:
- Implement educational curriculum of credit program
- Coordinate & administrate credit program: schedule classes & activities, interface with two-week schedule, handle correspondence, administer evaluations
- Supervise placement of credit villagers at appropriate levels
- Ensure each villager has achieved minimum of 180 hours of instruction & program complies with accreditation guidelines
- Ensure all CLV-required documentation is collected & filed with CLV within three days of session’s end
- Prepare final report
- Organize credit schedule during interim weekend (residential program only)
- Assist dean with orientation & training of credit teachers
- Collaborate with two-week facilitator to ensure integrated program

ASSISTANT DEAN:
- Assist dean with delegated administrative duties; staff development & supervision; planning, preparation & implementation of program; coordinating staff counselors; public relations (e.g., parent calls, photo shoots, site visits)
- Assume general responsibility for Village at dean’s request
- Be leader & mentor to staff & villagers
- Make program decisions as designated by dean
- Coordinate program & staff performance appraisals, as designated
- Assist with pre-planning & preparation, as designated by dean
- Carry out program & staff performance appraisals
- Assist with supervision & program/staff development
- Assume responsibility for counseling duties as designated

starting at $500 per one-week period
General Responsibilities of All Positions:
- Be familiar with & abide by specific policies set forth in CLV “Personnel Policies”
- Read & become familiar with responsibilities for specific area of assignment
- Read Staff Handbook & other materials information carefully & thoroughly before arriving
- Be advised entire staff of each Village is under direction of & is responsible to dean. While some positions are supervised by other staff, dean retains ultimate authority & responsibility for Village
- All positions involve teaching language culture, with the exception of summer support positions (e.g. culinary arts, healthcare, transportation)
- Report to orientation prior to first session as designated
- Assist with setting up Village, preparing for next session, & maintaining Village throughout session
- Speak target language with villagers & staff members as much as possible
- Live in community living arrangements, assigned according to gender. Nearly all positions include living, sleeping and sharing communal bathroom facilities in a unit with villagers (participants); positions that do not include living with villagers do include living with other staff members
- Work outdoors for a significant part of each day
- Model standards for behavior & be sensitive to health & welfare of villagers
- Remain one day after final session for cleanup, inventory & evaluation of program
Minimum Qualifications
STAFF TEAM LEADER:
- Previous Concordia Language Villages experience
- Skills in teaching the target language and managing groups of people
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and the target language with adults and children
- Leadership level skills in one or more cultural/recreational areas
- Work experience with school-aged children
TWO-WEEK CURRICULUM FACILITATOR:
- Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
- Experience as a teacher in the target language
- Skills in teaching the target language and helping others teach the target language
- Skills in personnel management and program organization
- Conversational and written proficiency in the language
- Skills in cultural/recreational activity areas
- Work experience with the age group concerned
CREDIT CURRICULUM FACILITATOR:
- Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
- Skills in teaching the language
- Strong personnel and program management skills
- Conversational and written proficiency in the target language
- Skills in cultural/recreational activity areas
- Work experience with high school students
- Computer skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents and schools
ASSISTANT DEAN:

- Previous Concordia Language Villages leadership experience
