The Job Opportunity

The main purpose of the role is to provide support and planning in the ATM Project Department with respect to the direct Air Traffic Control impact of Projects affecting the ATM System. Deliver the programme of ATM projects and drive each project to successful completion by focusing the best use of time and resources, sharing innovative ideas, and influencing key senior stakeholders through a collaborative and persuasive approach.

Key accountabilities

  • Development, Oversight and Management of Projects that affect the ATM System to ensure they are delivered on a timely basis and to a sufficient level of quality.
  • Develop and assist in the implementation of Transition Plans to new ATM systems
  • As directed by Dysim Coordinator, develop and oversee simulator exercises utilizing new ATM system.
  • Provide input to the Contract Director and ATM Project Lead on ATM concepts and technical matters related to the transition and operation of new ATM systems.
  • Attend meetings with Stakeholders, in a collaborative manner, to discuss the status of each Project, solve problems, and raise outstanding issues, maintaining standard meeting processes (minutes etc.).
  • Compute and Manage accurately daily/Monthly all flight data and statistics

What we are looking for in our candidates:

  • Thorough Knowledge of the Air Traffic Control environment, especially ATM developments and concepts, and ATM Systems is ideal.
  • A blend of business and technical knowledge
  • Strong IT skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite, LINUX etc.
  • Ability to develop clear, concise and appropriate documentation to support the ATM Projects.

Specific requirements

  • Previous ATM experience preferable, with an Air Navigation Service Provider, preferably at a major international airport, preferably with supervisory or management experience.
  • Previous experience with Thales TopSky will be considered an asset. Proven Project Management experience and a track history of planning and driving the delivery of complex programmes on time and within budget to achieve strategic goals

 

Note: Employees working in Baghdad are required to live in a purpose built camp and due to security restrictions are not permitted to leave the Baghdad International Airport secure zone. Individuals should therefore possess the temperament to live and work within a closed community.
