Job Summary
The Base Officer acts as the principle site supervisor of the Yazidi Empowerment Project (YEP) community center and site. S/he will work in direct support of the YEP project by maintaining the community center, community spaces, and SP staff house. Responsibilities will include generator operation and maintenance, supervising cleaning and gardening staff, fleet management, and supplies and inventory. Performing all other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Program Deputy Director with a generous and serving spirit.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for adhering to Samaritan’s Purse policy and maintaining compliance at each point throughout the logistics workflow.
- Maintains community center, community spaces, and SP staff house and acts as a focal point for all requests.
- Coordinates with fuel contractor on a regular basis and maintains proper documentation for end of month invoicing.
- Plans weekly schedule in coordination with cooking staff and Program Deputy Director.
- Leads cleaning and gardening staff and manages their regular schedule for all spaces.
- Creates service contracts, leases, and all paperwork related to them.
- Keeps inventory and creates stock reports of office, cleaning, kitchen, and gardening supplies.
- Maintains updated base tracker and conducts cost analysis of consumables.
- Updates staff about the work status of requests on a weekly basis.
- Assists in vehicle allocation and coordinates with Fleet Officers in Duhok and Erbil on maintenance and repair works, registration, logbooks, and cost allocations.
- Coordinates with operations and logistics teams in Duhok and Erbil to support procurement needs of the project and ensure paperwork is processed in line with the SP procurement policies and procedures. This includes the purchasing of goods, seeking of quotes, and development of bid justification forms.
- Primary point of contact for vendors and service providers when applicable, addressing maintenance issues with items procured by the project.

Education / Experience Needed
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 2 years working with international NGO in a logistics capacity
LANGUAGE
- Fluency in Kurdish and Arabic required.
Proficiency in English is desired
