Position Summary:
Oversee the clinical management and functions of the clinic’s behavioral health providers, consistent with corporate administrative and clinical policies and procedures.
Essential Functions of the Job:
In coordination with the Associate Director of Behavioral Health and Operations Manager, ensure adequate staff with appropriate training in the clinic and exceptional customer services that provides quality health care.
In coordination with the Chief Behavioral Health Officer, Associate Director of Behavioral Health and Operations Manager, provide active leadership in building positive provider staff relations with all clinic personnel.
Work with the Chief Behavioral Health Officer, Associate Director of Behavioral Health and Operations Manager to develop annual goals and objectives for clinic improvement.
Responsible for onboarding new providers to your clinic.
Maintain an active involvement in helping resolve provider staff misunderstandings and disagreements working closely with the CMO Office, Chief Behavioral Health Officer, Associate Director of Behavioral Health and Human Resources.
Complete Annual Provider Staff Performance Reviews and PICAs working closely with the CMO Office, Chief of Behavioral Health, Associate Director of Behavioral Health, and Human Resources.
Maintain an active involvement in policy interpretations for provider staff.
Participate in provider staff interviews for adding and/or replacing behavioral health staff.
Work closely with the Chief Behavioral Health Officer, and Associate Director of Behavioral Health to address quality improvement, patient flow, patient satisfaction and productivity issues that may arise and develop a plan for improvement.
Meet weekly with the Chief Behavioral Health Office, rand Associate Director of Behavioral Health for a 20 minute weekly huddle to discuss standards of operations and patient care.
Take ownership in the clinic’s peer review results by meeting with the Associate Director of Behavioral Health and provider staff to look for opportunities for improving patient care.
Communicate appropriately with all clinic staff.
Provide at minimum 0.6 FTE of direct patient care.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Complies with established departmental and health center wide policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, compliance required courses, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops
Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed.
May be asked to assist in providing supervision of interns under specification of license held.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
Job Requirements:
Successful completion of terminal graduate training program in a psychotherapy-related field: Ph.D./Psy.D.in Psychology; Social Work, at an accredited university or college with at least five years of experience in a mental health setting; FQHC or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience in Behavioral Medicine/Health Psychology Preferred. Experience is preferred but not conditioned.
PhD/PsyD, LCSW issued by the state of California and a valid driver
Combination of education and years of experience as specified above. Sensitivity to multi-cultural concerns and the psychotherapeutic process required completion of clinical training.
Good oral and written communication
Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Frequent sitting.
Ability to maintain confidential information within HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies.
Communication along with professionalism.
Technical Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform the Job:
Knowledge of rehabilitation and recovery treatment modalities.
Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA requirements.
Knowledge of using computers, phones, vehicles, copy machines and fax machines etc.
Ability to work cooperatively with other departments within a large community health center and satellite clinics.
Works well in multi-disciplinary setting.
Must possess excellent customer service, communication and documentation skills.
Must write clearly and legibly
Bi-lingual (English /Arabic speaking) and bi-cultural in therapeutic approach strongly preferred.
Universal Requirements
Pre-employment requirements include I-9, physical, positive background, live scan, and reference check results, complete application, new hire orientation, pre-employment PPDs.
