Job description for the Business Trainer
The business trainer will conduct his/her work according to the framework of the program and project implementation requirements.
The Business Trainer should design and develop training materials using MS PowerPoint and including scenario and rule plays and ensure all participants are engaged in the training, facilitate trainees to develop their business plan, and assist when needed. By the end of the training, the trainers should provide a detailed report on the training outcome.
Responsibilities
- The Job Holder is responsible for the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of training in the fields of Business. He/she closely coordinates with the Project Manager and Livelihood Specialist in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of such courses.
- Design and prepare the action plan (outline) of the training.
- Liaise with Project Manager and Livelihood Specialist to determine training needs and schedule training sessions.
- Prepare pre and post-training forms and make sure it is filled by all trainees before and after the training.
- Submit to Mercy Hands at least one week before the start date of the training all the documents required such as action plan, training manual, PowerPoint presentation, pre, and post-training forms.
- Deliver the training sessions.
- Prepares certificates for participants of training programs.
- With guidance from the Project Manager and Livelihood Specialist the Business Trainer will follow up trainees’ proposals and formulate them in a practical manner and according to standards in order to match the project outputs.
- Mentoring the potential business ideas owner, and or existing business in terms of expanding their business, start-up, and marketing and promoting the business environment.
- Prepares summary evaluation and training report after completion of each course
- Bachelor or master level in the relevant field or have business experience of at least 5 years (enterprise or working as CEO, a general administrator in the company, or a marketing and business expert, etc.)
- Over 3 years of delivering similar training
- Have at least 2 years of practical experience in mentoring the business, work in the business environment either in the public or private sectors.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Good training delivering skills and very wide knowledge on the topics of becoming an entrepreneur, running a small business, developing a business plan, and becoming an effective leader. Financial management, budgeting, basic bookkeeping steps, cash flow, record keeping for small businesses. etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good command of English and Arabic/Kurdish
- Good computer skills (MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and E-Mail)
