Position Summary:

• Provide Camp Boss Services reports to the HKN Field Services Manager roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure the kitchen is run safely, and all equipment is in safe working order and good condition.
• Ensure kitchen staff are trained and supervised in a manner which promotes safety.
• Schedule safety meetings in concert with the Field Services Manager and HSE
• Weekly HSE Inspections.
• Maintain an up-to-date Camp POB using Microsoft Excel Spread Sheets.
• Liaise with Journey Management planners to ensure rooms are ready and prepared and vacated as planned.
• Hold all Cabin Keys and Control Keys with Key Register against POB.
• Daily Coordination with the HKN Company Man & Field Services Manager Reference Cabin/bed requirements and forward occupancy planning.
• Manage and control the Catering and cleaning Staff always.
• Allocate staff to perform specific duties, i.e. cabin cleaners, kitchen helpers, laundry and waiters. Ensure staffing levels are correct for the task.
• With the Chef(s), pre-plan menus and ensure foodstuffs are ordered and delivered accordingly.
• Advise the Chef each day of numbers of expected meals require for each specific day, this is to ensure that sufficient meals are available every day, and equally ensure that not too much food is wasted due to cooking too much food.
• Ensure that the Kitchen and Mess Halls are kept clean and that hygiene is maintained to a high standard always.
• Ensure a food sampling program is established with the Medic` assistance.
• Ensure that the Camp is kept tidy and lean always.
• Laundry services are to be provided every day, and items are to be washed, dried, PRESSED as appropriate and returned a timely manner/the same day.
• Ensure laundry equipment is kept in first class order and is being used correctly.
• Report any defects with cabins such as electrical and or plumbing issues.
• Work with the Assistant & Head Chefs ensure that daily menus are not repetitive.
• Ensure that there is sufficient Food Fresh and dry available always.
• Control all food store temperatures daily and keep log.
• Ensure that there are sufficient cleaning materials available at all times.
• Identify local food suppliers and liaise with local suppliers ensuring HKN receives the best possible value for money always.
• Ensure diners sign for their respective meals each day and maintain a record of the number of meals served each month, taking data from the daily meal sheets. This information shall be passed on to the HKN Field Services Manager.
• Check water tank levels daily and keep log of water consumption

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requirement: Must be fit and healthy, fluent in English language written and oral. Computer literate especially with Microsoft Word and Excel. Respectful of different cultures and nationalities. Honest and Trustworthy

Physical Requirements:

• Must be fit and Healthy and have an up-date Yellow Card with Doctors certificates.
• Must have the physical abilities to carry out the functions of the job description.
