Job Description Details:

Job purpose:

This is a 3-month Case Management/IPA Officer position based in Karşıyaka CPC, Gaziantep with regular visit to Nizip CPC on a daily basis without any overnight in there. It is also requiring full-time performance of work in the assigned duty station.

You will report to Team Leader (Karşıyaka CPC) and provide technical supervision for the Case Management/IPA Assistants based in Karşıyaka and Nizip CPCs, under the technical supervision of the Project Coordinator.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for providing support, advice, direction, and overall quality oversight and provide technical supervision for Case Management/IPA Assistants.

· Regularly monitors and supervises the provision of quality, effective risk/needs assessment, sustainable intervention planning, and follow-up.

· Conducting service mapping meetings to identify the available services and assistance for refugees with local authorities, I/NGOs, UN Agencies, and other governmental bodies, and keeping updated the service map of the organization on a regular basis

· Communicates closely with other I/NGO’s, UN agency and government authorities, to ensure beneficiaries are referred and supported in a timely and appropriate manner.

· Acting as a focal point for referrals to and from CPCs for protection cases.

· Planning and organizing information and awareness-raising sessions with project participants and communities about protection, child protection, and education-specific topics in close collaboration with PSS team members.

· Planning and organizing distribution process of project materials and equipment procured through the fund in accordance with standard operating procedures in close coordination with Project Coordinator and Centre Supervisors

· Ensure proper completion and filing of all documentation (soft and hard copy, as required) and ensure on daily and weekly basis data related to beneficiaries and activities in the protection database

· Submitting monthly reports to the Line Manager and report any problems in a timely manner.

· Performing internal & external reporting tasks in coordination with Project Coordinator, and Centre Supervisors (if needed)

· Planning, coordinating, and developing components of the programs in coordination with Centre Supervisors and Project Coordinator.

· Attending various meetings, workshops, and conferences and follows up on all educational meetings to maintain professional development growth.

· Ensuring that center provides and consistently maintains a safe environment for project participants and beneficiaries. Maintaining good relations with beneficiaries, the parents, staff, and volunteers.

· Contribute and suggest all protection and education project proposals relevant to the Centre’s function.

· Support the organization of community-based activities that promote shared resilience, self-help, and peer support, including capacity-building workshops and support groups. Seek community input on the type and timing of activities to be held at the center.

· Play a key role in collaboration and coordination with the Psychologist in the process of identification and planning sustainable intervention of cases in need.

· Perform any other tasks under the guidance of the direct and technical supervisors when required.

Academic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in social science, or in the related subject area, master’s degree will be an advantage

Requirements:**

· Knowledge of protection and key protection concern and at least 2 years of experience in case management or protection field, preferably with NGOs.

· Familiarity with the social protection system of the Government of Turkey and activities of relevant actors.

· Familiarity with the Government of Turkey regulations and system for refugees and asylum seekers residing in Turkey

· Turkish fluent and advanced proficiency in English required

Skills

· Intermediate or advanced level of Arabic

· Strong understanding of and engagement with the humanitarian context and I/NGO field.

· Ability to work independently and to prioritize deliverables, often with little oversight, in a fast-paced and complex environment.

· Good team player, flexible and capable of working with a multicultural team and culturally sensitive

· Ability to cope with stress, work under pressure often to strict deadlines

· Flexibility, adaptability, sense of humor, and patience

· Be well-organized, self-motivated, strong planning and reliable

· Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills

· Strong critical, analytical, and solution-oriented thinking skills

· Have a passion for or strong interest in the humanitarian field and human rights particularly related to refugees’ and children’s rights

· Commitment to humanitarian principles and values
