Communications Officer – Roving

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Communications Officer will be responsible for documenting field level activities, liaising with the MEAL officer and the Social Cohesion, Livelihoods and Training and Capacity Building Specialists to accompany them on the implementation of activities. Responsibilities will include:

• In coordination with the Social Cohesion Officer, MEAL Officer and Project Manager, collaborate closely with UNDP and local peace committees in the project locations to develop inclusive and conflict-sensitive community outreach strategies and tools, for the purposes of identifying 2,600 potential beneficiaries across the 4 implementation locations.
• Compiling photographic and video evidence of project activities.
• Record and edit videos documenting the project progress and success stories of participants from the beginning to the end of the implementation process, including interviews with participants and stakeholders.
• Support other project’s communication and visibility activities within Iraq when required.

• University educated in a relevant field, preferably communications, video design, journalism or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in developing content and visibility strategies.
• Experience working in the humanitarian or charity sectors is a plus.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic. 
• Right to live and work in Iraq, with the ability to travel within and outside KRI region.
• Willing to start work immediately.
