Community Outreach Officer

Community Outreach Officer will help Community Outreach Coordinator effectively build and progressively develop a community-based approach aiming at mainstreaming protection incorporating the principles of meaningful access to services, safety, and dignity into all of LCN’s activities (including participation and empowerment of women, children; accountability to beneficiaries; assistance provided in proportion to need and without any barriers; avoid causing harm).

Community Outreach Officer will help Community Outreach Coordinator effectively build and progressively develop a community-based approach aiming at mainstreaming protection incorporating the principles of meaningful access to services, safety, and dignity into all of LCN’s activities (including participation and empowerment of women, children; accountability to beneficiaries; assistance provided in proportion to need and without any barriers; avoid causing harm).

• Relevant degree, preferably in Political or Social Sciences, Human Rights Law, International Affairs, Public Health, Social Work, Psychology
• Ability to deal with difficult, often frustrating work situations
• Demonstrated good knowledge of UN and NGO mandates and programs in the humanitarian responses
• Ability to deal with difficult, often frustrating work situations
• A high sense of discretion and integrity when dealing with sensitive protection information
• Strong writing and interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask and
• Handle a fast-paced organization.
• Ability to solve problems with a minimum of supervision or seek guidance proactively when necessary.
