Job Purpose
Reporting to the Community Outreach Workers Team Leader, the
Community Outreach Worker will conduct community based activities to
support IMC’s programs in the field
Main Responsibilities
Conduct household visits disseminating information: Health,
MHPSS and GBV.
• Identify and appropriately refer beneficiaries to the appropriate
services.
• Maintain two-way feedback mechanism between IMC services
and the community.
• Collect information and create service mapping for each site, and
specifically for Health and MHPSS.
• Collaborate closely with the community spokesperson.
• Responsible for organizing and conducting awareness education
sessions and events.
• Trained on PFA principles, in addition to the integrated package
of community health and basic GBV concepts, guiding principles
and messages to share with the community.
• Disseminate information to the community as per specialized
trainings Health and hygiene education messages.
• Organize sessions and events to promote for health, hygiene,
wellbeing and prevention of GBV.
Adhere to the MHPSS IASC guiding principles throughout all
outreach interventions. This includes ensuring confidentiality of
clients, and respect for their wishes and decisions.
• Respect the code of conduct and policies of the IMC and the GBV
guiding principles.
• Provide timely reporting as required by supervisor.
• Fulfill any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Adhere and uphold the IMC principle and policies (integrity,
accountability and service) at the respective areas of work.

- Very good communication and
interpersonal skills. - Fluent in spoken Arabic/Kurdish
(same language of the served
