SWEDO is a Swedish non-profit, non-political, non-religious development aid organization that was founded in 1991 in Stockholm, Sweden. Having continuously operated in the Kurdistan Region ever since, SWEDO’s main priorities of work are construction and infrastructure activities, refugee and IDP initiatives, health, water, sanitation and hygiene, and capacity building.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creating/designing application forms for job seekers and employers.
  • Collecting and entering data from source documents into prescribed computer database, files and forms;
  • Gathering data from employers by contacting, meeting and visiting them.
  • Assisting Job seekers with their presence on social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, or similar) where relevant and beneficial.
  • Generate and design interesting, up-to-date, and attractive content that represents employment center’s work;
  • Post and upload material to the social media;
  • Sort and cross-check data;
  • Ensure data is collected correctly and in a timely manner;
  • Create tables of statistics;
  • Draft reports of results based on data entered;
  • Produce Weekly reports summarizing findings from the field.
  • Analyze strengths and weaknesses observed in the collection of data.
  • Supporting other team members in registering job seekers in the office (Domiz 1 employment center) and as mobile team conducting house to house visit
  • Supporting other team members in conducting regular capacity building workshops and training for job seekers
  • Assisting job seekers with job applications, better writing their CVs and preparing them for job interviews.
  • Prepare and sort received documents and identifying forms that need to be entered into Data Collection Software or Access Data base as per the project requirement.
  • Verify data and correct data where necessary
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies
  • Uphold SWEDO’s code of conduct, and ensure that all persons of concern are treated with dignity and respect, in accordance with humanitarian principles and human rights standards.
    • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor Degree or diploma in Computer Sciences or any relevant field;
  • Minimum two years’ experience in the same position or field with good experience in organizing awareness and training sessions;
  • Knowledge in the legal basis for labor migration to Germany is an asset
  • Fluency in Kurdish and Arabic, both spoken and written are required and English language is a plus.
  • Excellent command of MS-Office (Word and Excel)
  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds;
  • Excellent writing skills & fast typing skills;
  • Strong communication skills – both oral and written.
