The iO Innovation Fellow will work across iO’s cross-functional teams to gain exposure to and play a meaningful role in the development, implementation and evaluation of iO initiatives. During the Fellowship, the Innovation Fellow will be exposed to the changes in the healthcare landscape and what Ochsner and iO are doing to be successful in the new environment. The Innovation Fellow will lead and/or support the development and the implementation of iO initiatives through their entire life cycle with accountability for project progress and success; manage day-to-day project administration, including coordination of internal iO stakeholders, development and implementation of communications strategy with external stakeholders, financial stewardship, and ensuring sustainability and success.

Education

Strong interpersonal skills necessary to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders including physicians, clinicians, operations and corporate divisions to drive project objectives and change in ambiguous, dynamic and complex situations.
Excellent judgment, organization, group facilitation, decision making, problem solving, delegation, escalation and prioritization skills.
Self-directed, including the ability to work independently, set project priorities, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical, C5budget and schedule management skills
Strong sense of personal accountability for work.
Comfortable with ambiguity and a rapid pace, this professional is a highly motivated and curious and operates with ownership and independence while ensuring alignment with team priorities.
Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Job Duties
Actively leads and executes projects through entire project lifecycle including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing.
Communicates with and presents plans/projects to team members and other stakeholders as needed
Collaborates with other team members on iO initiatives
Special projects
Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
