WORK DAY/YEAR: 8 hours per day; Monday – Friday; 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. This position includes hours in June, July and August.

SALARY: $17.03 per hour

CLASSIFICATION: B-2-2

Job Summary:
Early Childhood Screening Responsibilities:
Contact Registrations and Records for list of eligible early childhood children

Schedule appointments and follow up with parents for early childhood screenings

Schedule interpreters as needed

Maintain required records for state and local reporting and monthly staffing and yearly screening schedule

Perform office tasks such as greeting and welcoming the public, responding to and directing phone calls, mail, ordering supplies and directing visitors

Work within student information system to input and retrieve data

Perform other duties within the level of responsibility of position as assigned by the supervisor.

Reception & Registration:
Greet, register, and communicate with internal and external customers, participants and staff

Provide accurate information and good customer relations through written and verbal communication

Respond to or direct phone calls, maintain voicemail. Communicate program information, policies & procedures to participants

Collect participant and class enrollment data, tuition and past due tuition for early childhood programs, maintain accurate registration and payment records

Set up PAIIR/ECFE classes in online registration system and room reservations for classes and meetings as needed,

Assist in collecting data for state and program reports

Provide office support such as copying, word processing, data entry, laminating and backup for other ECFS clerical staff

Cross train with all early childhood programs and community education staff

Support to Staff and Management:
Attends staff meetings and in-services regularly

Provides backup to fulltime ECFS clerical staff

Support in preparing, proofing and distributing early childhood catalog/early childhood screening materials

Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent verbal, written communication and proofreading skills

Excellent telephone customer service skills

Technology skills including web browsers, Google docs, data entry, Excel and Microsoft Word

Ability to learn and work on multiple computer programs Preferred: Eleyo and Skyward experience

Must have ability to prioritize, organize, and work independently, manage multiple tasks, and take initiative

Must have ability to handle frequent interruptions

Must be adaptable and flexible to work independently and in a team working environment

Must be an active and positive member of the staff

Must be able to work from multiple locations, as needed

Ability to speak one of the following languages a plus; Arabic, Somali, Spanish
