SWEDO is a Swedish non-profit, non-political, non-religious development aid organization that was founded in 1991 in Stockholm, Sweden. Having continuously operated in the Kurdistan Region ever since, SWEDO’s main priorities of work are construction and infrastructure activities, refugee and IDP initiatives, health, water, sanitation and hygiene, and capacity building.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Registering job seekers in the office (Domiz 1 employment center) and as mobile team conducting house to house visit
- Conducting regular capacity building workshops and training for job seekers
- Continuous information gathering of available jobs in the market.
- Assisting job seekers with job applications, better writing their CVs and preparing them for job interviews.
- Prepare and sort received documents and identifying forms that need to be entered into Data Collection Software or Access Data base as per the project requirement.
- Coordinate with camp management, UNHCR and any other relevant parties to support the jobseekers in obtaining work permit and follow up any other legal related needs.
- Enter data from source documents into prescribed computer database, files and forms
- Verify data and correct data where necessary
- S/he organises project events, trainings and meetings and is responsible for the management and implementation of the logistical arrangements and follow up.
- Obtain further information for incomplete documents
- Comply with data integrity and security policies
- Uphold SWEDO’s code of conduct, and ensure that all persons of concern are treated with dignity and respect, in accordance with humanitarian principles and human rights standards.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Bachelor Degree or diploma in Social Sciences or any relevant field;
- Minimum two years’ experience in the same position or field with good experience in organizing awareness and training sessions;
- Fluency in Kurdish and Arabic, both spoken and written are required and English language is a plus.
- Excellent command of MS-Office (Word and Excel)
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds;
- Excellent writing skills & Fast typing skills;
- Strong communication skills – both oral and written;
