Job Function/ Description:
- Review and process invoices; analyze and reconcile discrepancies.
- Review of and accounting for procurement transactions under $5K, to ensure adequate supporting documentation, accuracy of amounts and control over payments
- Primary responsibility for liaison with logistics/procurement
- Periodically review program spending and financial compliance with the Finance Manager.
- Oversee purchases/procurement for office-related supplies and materials;
- In coordination with A/P, Ensure A/P are paid and cleared on timely manner a reconciliation report to submit Finance Manager
- Participate in monthly reviews of financial statements and related schedules and analyses with Headquarters and Field Office Director
- Prepare RCR and BvA with analytical tables on monthly bases and share it with Finance Manager for review
- Participate in weekly budget review with program and other team
- Monthly and bi monthly Petty Cash and Bank Reconciliations for BHA program
- Support in monthly and weekly closing process
- Serve as a proactive problem solver for vendors, clients, and internal staff
- Manage assigned staff , including mentor and training
- Analyze accounts and prepare journal entries
- Assist Finance Department with any research and reporting projects
- Perform general administrative duties as needed for the station
- Assists audit process as part of team with review requirement and draft answers to Finance Manger and other senior finance team.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Required Education & Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant field
- At least three years’ experience in Finance, financial management
- Advanced computer skills to include Microsoft Excel and Word, CostPoint would be advance.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Ability to see tasks through to complete resolution
- Knowledge of Colleague’s financial management system and/or a related financial management system
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, Arabic, and Kurdish languages.
- Basic statistical analysis skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills;
- Exceptional work ethic
- Self-motivated, team player comfortable dealing with all levels of management
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of budgets, contracts, and cost point Accounting software is preferred
