• Must have proven knowledge of giving emergency health care and experience teaching beginner users in First Aid topics

             

Education / Experience Needed

• Bachelor Degree in Health and Medical care Required
• 1-2 years experience working for an NGO or in Health Care section preferred
• Must have former experience teaching First Aid.

 

LANGUAGE 

• Fluent Spoken and Written Arabic required
• Conversational Spoken and Written English preferred

Job Summary

The First Aid Trainer is responsible for teaching a 4-6 week course in basic First Aid skills for beginners in Nimrud area. Trainer must be certified in First Aid.

 

Job Duties:

• Lead beginner First Aid course for 3-4 hours, one-3 days per week, for a period of 4-6 weeks from late October into late November.
• Must be available for two meetings prior to the start of the sessions in order to confirm class syllabus.
• Teach and train beginners on the following topics:
• Role of first aid provider
• Protecting your self
• Cardiac arrest
• CPR
• Stroke
• Bleeding
• Choking
• poisoning
• Head, neck, back injuries
• Nose bleeding
• Burns
• Heat and cold emergencies
• Must bring his/her own teaching resources for the training in the above topics.
• Benefits include a teaching stipend per training day, per diem to cover fuel or taxi to and from the program site for each session.

 

Complete other activities as directed by the Line Manager and performing all other tasks and responsibilities assigned for the benefit of Samaritan’s Purse with a generous and serving spirit.
