Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Hospital Security Officer I who ensure the safety of employees, patients, and visitors while securing hospital buildings and grounds. Hospital Security Officer I are a critical part of ensuring the public has a positive experience, serving as frontline staff greeting and directing visitors. These positions provide exemplary customer service while proactively interacting with thousands of customers daily as part of a large staff responsible for performing crowd control, patrolling the interior and exterior of the facility, enforcing hospital policies, and responding to emergency situations. In addition, Security Technicians assist medical staff with observing, monitoring, escorting and physically restraining patients, transporting patients, retrieving gurneys for medical staff and escorting deceased patients to the morgue.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Shift Availability: ARMC is a 24 hour facility; applicants must be available to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays. Not indicating availability to work all shifts on supplemental will result in removal from the recruitment process.
License: A valid California Class C driver license is required at time of appointment and just be maintained throughout employment. Employees are required to drive county vehicles.
Background: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, verification of employment history and education.
Certification: The work environment may involve exposure to assaultive and combative patients and visitors. Successful completion of Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) training within six (6) months of hire is required. The MAB certification must be maintained while employed.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates must possess all of the following:
Registration: Must possess and maintain a current Guard Registration Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services of California.
- AND-
License: Must possess and maintain a valid California Class C driver license.
- AND-
Availability: Must be available to work ALL SHIFTS: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Rotating, Swing, and Holidays.
Desired Qualifications
Applicants fluent in American Sign Language, Arabic, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish and/or Vietnamese are strongly encouraged to apply. Additional compensation is associated with positions requiring the use of bilingual skills. Testing of bilingual skills may be required to receive additional compensation.
